ACDC 2026 Awards Scheme

Eligibility: Young scholars in the field of AC/DC power transmission at home and abroad

Quota: 10 winners

Criteria:
  (1) Age requirement: Graduated with a doctoral degree within 5 years, or graduated with a bachelor’s degree within 10 years, or under 35 years old (as of June 1st of the conference year)

  (2) Have achieved major technological innovation in academic research, technology development, engineering application, etc. in AC/DC power transmission, or created favourable economic and social benefits.

Eligibility: Experts and scholars in the field of AC/DC power transmission at home and abroad

Quota: 5 winners

Criteria:
  (1) Professional experience requirement: Engaged in AC/DC power transmission for 20 years or more (starting from the date of undergraduate graduation)

  (2) Have made prominent contributions to solving major scientific issues and original technological breakthroughs in AC/DC power transmission or played a key role in promoting major engineering construction and industrial development of AC/DC power transmission.

Eligibility: Senior experts and scholars in the field of AC/DC power transmission at home and abroad

Quota: 1 winner

Criteria:
  (1) Professional experience requirement: Engaged in AC/DC power transmission for 35 years or more (starting from the date of undergraduate graduation)

  (2) Have been deeply engaged in AC/DC power transmission, achieved major scientific research achievements or innovations achievements, and made extraordinary contributions to promoting industrial development, technology popularization and talent cultivation in this field.

1. IET ACDC Young Scholar Award: self-nomination. Each self-nominee shall submit a 1 Personal Information Form. Recommendation Forms are not required.

2. IET ACDC Innovation Contribution Award: Adopt a combination of self-nomination and recommendation. Each self-nominee shall submit a 1 Personal Information Form and 1 Recommendation Forms. If the applicant falls within the scope of recommended experts, the Expert Recommendation Form may be exempted.

3. IET ACDC Outstanding Achievement Award: Adopting an expert nomination system. Nominating experts shall send the Expert Nomination Form to the designated email address.

4. The scope of eligible recommending experts mentioned above includes: IET Fellows, IEEE Fellows, Members of national academies of sciences or academies of engineering worldwide, previous award winners, and other influential distinguished experts (e.g., national-level talents of China, recipients of China National Science and Technology Awards, Fellows, Standing Directors and Directors of the China Electrotechnical Society, China Electrotechnology Society, and China Power Supply Society).

1. The organizing committee shall conduct formal review of the application materials.

2. The Awards Committee shall evaluate the application materials. The Awards Committee consists of the General Chair, General Organizing Committee Chair, Technical Program Committee Chair and other industry experts.

3. Award winners shall be recognized at the IET International Conference on AC/DC Power Transmission (ACDC).

Both English and Chinese are acceptable for application
